The Scoop On Where To Get A Tattoo In Ft. Lauderdale

by Adam Whazzer on November 22, 2009

If you live along the coast, every city lights up with life twenty-four hours a day. Flurries of activities are present to keep the flow of beach traffic occupied and getting a once in a lifetime experience. This fast pace is evident in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as well. Every kind of shop you could imagine adorns the streets near the beach. A particularly popular type of shop that flourishes year round is the tattoo shop. If you are looking to get a tattoo from a beach side shop, you need to know a few things. For starters, let me introduce you to some popular Fort Lauderdale tattoo shops.

Finding a good tattoo shop can sometimes be harder than getting a tattoo. You have to consider several things when choosing what shop does your ink. These include: the price, the artists, and where you actually find the shop.

Basically if your tattoos seem too cheap, there’s usually a good reason for it and that isn’t a good thing. If the location looks slummy, it usually is and you should be leery of unclean environments that claim to have sterile needles. And lastly, if the person who is about to give you a tattoo has no visible tats, get out of there. This means they haven’t been doing it long, or don’t appreciate the process. Nothing good can come from inexperience in regards to very permanent tattoos.

There are a slew of shops up and down that area of the Florida coast, and I will name a few of the best.

Among the first to be mentioned is Cool Cat Tattoos. With two locations reflecting either side of the Ft. Lauderdale map, they have become a popular choice that is growing considerably in their fan base and clientle as the days go by. In addition to tattoos, Cool Cat offers a range of piercing options for a two part upgrade for your body.

The next on the list of great shops along the beach would be Bulldog Tattoo Studio. Through years of combined experience, this establishment has become a staple for those getting a tattoo there in the Ft. Lauderdale area. You can check out some of their original work at www.bulldogtattoo.org. On top of the exceptional work that the group of artists inside do, they have some seriously stellar prices to contend with competition in the area.

Finally, the Bruce Bart Tattoo Shop serving both the Woodstock, NY area as well as Ft. Lauderdale has been in business for years. The owner (Bruce Bart) has been tattooing for close to 35 years, and so to say his level of experience is worth paying extra for is an understatement. He has prided himself on only hiring truly talented artists that can provide excellent tattoos. This includes portrait style tattoos, which are difficult to get done in average shops. That’s part of what makes this shop so unique and worth your investigation. Check them out at http://brucebarttattooing.com/ for more information and samples of their work.

It is safe to say that there is no shortage of tattoo shops lining the beach of Ft. Lauderdale. You have to do your research though, because tattoos can go wrong in a hurry in the hands of an inexperienced artist. So take your time and remember, you will always pay more for higher quality work.

A popular trend among the youngsters loving the beach-backdropped town is getting tattoos or Exotic Piercing. I can take you through some of the more popular Fort lauderdale Tattoo Shops.

If You Are Looking For Tattoo Shops In Ft. Lauderdale

by Bart Reno on November 21, 2009

Finding fun things to do in Fort Lauderdale shouldn’t exactly be all that hard. The city itself is a sought out spring break location, as well as just a getaway for many folks. So certainly there would be no shortage of places you could go to mark the occasion in a very permanent way. So many tattoo shops litter the streets of this beach side community, and it’s hard to say who is the best and who you should avoid. I hope to add some clarity here by providing you with a list of the best Fort Lauderdale tattoo shops.

Tattoos are often considered on a passing whim, and that’s okay too. But the whimsical part of the decision should not be the shop. You have to remember that if you think you are paying to little for your tattoo, you likely are… And there’s a good reason for it.

With this being said I can get into what tattoo shops you should check out if you are looking to get your first tattoo, or add to you ink in Ft. Lauderdale.

The first to be mentioned is a bit of a legend amongst the Ft. Lauderdale area, and all of Florida to be precise. Tatts Taylor Tattoo is the name of the shop, but it more represents the man behind the shop, Tatts Taylor. His dedication to the art landed him in some hot water in the seventies, but it paved the way for the art to come as far as it has now, and for it to be as accepted as it is. This commitment to the art lives on in his shop along the beach of Ft. Lauderdale. While Tatts himself died in 2000, his work lives through the skilled hands that comprise his highly regarded shop.

Babylon Tattoo is a shop located within the city limits of Ft. Lauderdale, but it doesn’t try and squeeze in among the countless tattoo shops that compete along the shoreline. So you might have to drive for a few minutes, but you would be driving to the shop that won Best of 2005 for their commitment to quality work and dedication to the craft in general. If you were considering a piercing, you can get them done at Babylon as well, all in the same trip.

The last shop on the list of places you should check out if you are considering a tattoo there in the Ft. Lauderdale area is Studio 954. They are a relatively new shop, but their combined experience rivals that of other stores that have been in business for many, many years. You can check them out at: www.studio954.com. There you can see the bios of the artists they have on staff and some samples of the work they do in the studio.

So there are plenty of places to get ink done. There aren’t plenty of places that are sold out to tattooing like this group of shops is. They are all good places to check out if you are considering a tattoo around Fort Lauderdale.

Finding fun in Fort Lauderdale shouldn’t be all that hard. The city itself is a sought out spring break location. So certainly there would be no shortage of places you could go to mark the occasion in a very permanent way including Exotic Piercing at Fort lauderdale Tattoo Shops .
