Atlanta Airport Rental Cars

by Dae Hyun Kim on March 15, 2010

Spring doesn’t officially start until march 21st, but you’d think we’d be beyond snow troubles by now especially in the southern states. A huge snowstorm moved through Atlanta this morning causing major delays for the world’s busiest airport. Atlanta’s Hartfield-Jackson International Airport saw hundreds of flight delays due to their inability to handle snow. Afterall, Atlanta only gets 2 inches of snow on average per year. Why should the airport be prepared to handle snow?

The blizzards have affected the Atlanta Airport car rental business as well. With all the flight cancellations this leads to hundreds of car rental cancellations as well. All car rental agencies are affected including Enterprise, Dollar, Budget, and all the rest. In particular exotic car rentals in Atlanta seem to have been hit the hardest. If you want a rental car in Atlanta while it’s snowing, it doesn’t make much sense to get a Corvette. People are opting for larger cars that can handle the snow like SUVs and Hummers.

The northern cities of Minneapolis and Boston seemed to have gotten off light this winter while the middle US and south seem to have gotten unusual amounts of snowfall this year. It seems that the part of the country that is least equipped to handle snow seems to be getting the most of it.

The snow problems in Atlanta were particularly annoying for travelers trying to make connecting flights that were canceled or delayed. This was good business for hotels surrounding the Atlanta airport but car rental companies didn’t see the benefits of the stranded travelers as they were only delayed in their trips for a day.

The snow has not been kind to southern businesses particularly when you couple this with the economic depression. Times are tough for car rental companies but they’ll make it through this rough spot.

Atlanta Airport car rental is great to learn about. To learn more about cheap car rentals in Atlanta visit my website.

Caribbean Cruises

by Owen Jones on March 12, 2010

People work harder these days than ever before. If not physically harder then longer hours and we are entitled to a break from that once in a while. The majority of us go on holiday and we look forward to it months in advance and we plan for it even further ahead. Where do you like to go or what do you like to do? I personally prefer to go on a cruise and a Caribbean cruise is a good choice.

People think a cruise, specially a Caribbean cruise as being expensive, and cruise operators want to uphold that elite image, but I see the cruise as being an up-market all inclusive holiday. Probably, it is the original all inclusive holiday, because once you walk up and off that gang plank, everything aside from drinks is free. Everything and everything is first class hotel style too! We are not talking pizza and chips here, but five or six course meals and five or six times a day.

It is common knowledge, that if you go on a cruise you can expect to gain a pound or two a week (I gained five pounds on my last cruise), unless you do some exercise. What exercise? Cruise liners have swimming pools and gymnasiums! Not only one but several. Some even set aside a deck for running at certain times of the day. There really is no excuse for not exercising on a Caribbean cruise.

Caribbean cruise liners provide more sports facilities than just gymnastics too. In fact, except for horse riding, I think that most sports are catered for. Basketball, volleyball, swimming, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, bird watching … You name it. Caribbean cruise liners also have Internet connections, games machines and full office amenities. During the evenings there are first class shows, often two a night, films in a cinema and a casino.

If you have never been on a Caribbean cruise, it is difficult to explain the amount of luxury that is provided. It is more than a first class hotel. In a first class hotel, you pay first class prices for everything too, but on a Caribbean cruise liner, everything but drinks is free and even drinks are cheap because they are duty-free. The cruise liner will have a shop too where everything it sells is duty free!

Some Caribbean cruises are themed and it is worth noting this fact. Also some times of the year, especially early February are foreseeable. I once naively went on a Caribbean cruise for a fortnight which spanned St Valentine’s day. I was a single man then and the other 1200 were amorous couples. There was only one single woman on the cruise and there was no rapport between us. I did not not enjoy that Caribbean cruise, because people took we under their wing, but it made me think about the time of year when I next booked up.

Caribbean cruises, especially the better ones, will fill up quickly, so this is one holiday that you really ought to book well in advance. A year in advance is not too early. I like to book my Caribbean cruise a year in advance, but put my name down for any last minute cancellations, in case I can pick up a bargain.

Honeymoon On St Croix, USVI

by Owen Jones on March 9, 2010

After your wedding day, your honeymoon is one of the most memorable times of your life and so must surely count as one of best holidays you will ever have. It is the beginning of a new life with the person you love. As such it is a good reason to visit somewhere you have always wanted to go, somewhere very special.

One of the most popular places for people to go to on a honeymoon is St Croix, The US Virgin Islands, in the Caribbean.

The Caribbean is the first choice for many newly weds for several reasons: the romance, the people are happy and welcoming, the sand, sea and sunshine, the food and the music. St Croix in the US Virgin Islands is one of the most well-liked destinations in the Caribbean islands.

St Croix has beautiful beaches and that perfect tropical climate that is so appropriate for a wonderful honeymoon. The hotels and the island’s inhabitants love to take care of newly weds and go out of their way to make sure that the honeymooners have the time of their lives – a holiday that they will remember fondly for ever.

Cost is always a factor when one is planning a honeymoon in the Caribbean, but you do not have not be too worried on that front. A honeymoon on St Croix need not be costly and as it is only 1,300 miles from the USA, so travel costs and travel time are low.

You will not have trouble finding somewhere on the island to fit your requirements. However, St Croix is a popular honeymoon destination, especially for Americans, so it is worth booking your honeymoon holiday as early as possible in order to obtain the reservation that you want.

There are three main types of places to stay: a hotel, a vacation rental or a holiday home. The difference between a vacation rental and a holiday home is that the former is a condo or villa purpose built for holiday makers, while the holiday home is actually somebody’s house who has let it out for a short time.

When scheduling your honeymoon, you should think about when you will leave. It was traditional to leave for the honeymoon after a short reception on the day of the wedding, but many couples delay their departure date nowadays. Over the last few decades, it has become the norm to hold an extensive reception hours after the wedding, often at night. This will often go on until midnight or later, which makes leaving for foreign climes quite difficult. A hangover is not a good travelling companion either.

Therefore, you may want to put your going away date off until two days after the wedding, although I think that flying out on the wedding day is still the best idea. If you choose a holiday home or a vacation rental on St Croix, you will need to make all your own arrangements for getting to the airport, flying to St Croix and getting a taxi from the airport to your place of stay, so I recommend that for this, your first visit to this beautiful island, you take a package holiday, which will take care of you from your local airport to your hotel on St Croix and back again.

What Are All Inclusive Packages?

by Owen Jones on March 4, 2010

Are you thinking of going on a vacation in the near future? How do you normally go? Do you fly there and then sort yourself out or do you take vacation packages? It is clear that vacation packages are simpler and often cheaper too.

If you go DIY, you will have to book reservations on an aircraft or a bus and a hotel and taxis and a car hire company. If you would rather preclude all this, you could book either a vacation package of one of the all inclusive vacation packages.

Although many vacation packages are extremely good, some people refuse to use them. This can be for several reasons, but the most common are out of a of feelings of adventure, independence and snobbishness. In fact, most of the people who do not take vacation packages are younger, single individuals.

Married people with children are the main users of vacation packages and especially all inclusive vacation packages. There is a difference between the two kinds. All inclusive vacation packages are great for families with hungry children. You know, the normal variety, who are always saying: ‘Give me a dollar for an ice cream, Dad’ or ‘I’m hungry, Mum!’.

On an all inclusive vacation package, all of these munchies and three main meals a day and all drinks are included in the cost of the holiday – hence, the name, all inclusive vacation package.

However, there is more to it than that. All inclusives also include on site games and amusements and some others as well. For example, a Caribbean all inclusive vacation package might include the use of snorkels and goggles, but it would rarely stretch to the use of aqualungs or wet suits.

Another benefit of the all inclusive holiday resort is that they often cater for families with young children. They may supply child alarms in the chalets and free entertainment for adult holiday makers in the evening and night too. The resort might also provide baby sitters and a free taxi into town.

All inclusive vacation packages are a very different deal from standard vacation or rental packages. All inclusives are more geared towards families with young children between, say five and fifteen, because children of this age eat a lot, although it is usually junk food, which usually costs a lot on holiday, but is in fact, cheap to make. The evenings’ entertainment is also on site so that parents can be easily reached if there is a problem.

On the other hand a standard vacation package will usually provide breakfast only, so that you can go out for the day and do what you like.

Several Of The Hottest Expensive Coupes And Sedans

by Jordan Garvin on February 28, 2010

Some very lucky people on this earth are able to go out and purchase their dream car after having dreamt about it for a little while, for the rest of us however, those dreams will likely never become a reality but there is no harm in dreaming.

Whether the zeros in your bank account are reading before the decimal or after, you can still take a moment to dream about that perfect car. It can be more than fun looking into the high-end cars of today and imagining you’re in the driver’s seat.

The Nissan GT-R is one that’s certainly worth considering. Priced at roughly $70,000, this is a great deal when you consider what you’re getting for your dollar as compared to other autos in the same price range.

One of the cars to compare The Nissan GT-R is the Porsche 911 turbo due to it’s excellent engine quality, capable of doing 0 to 60 in just 3.3 seconds among other things.

Looking at the very high end, high class BMW M3 which has held a top position for over ten years. The German maker of this beauty has tried to outdo its competition by raising the standards every time.

One of the newest enhancements is a carbon fiber roof that both adds to the car’s visual appeal, and makes it even lighter on the road.

The Audi RS4 is a sports car lookalike and drive-a-like with its 420 horsepower coming from its powerful V8 engine.

So the Audi RS4 has been sent to us from the future. It has so many gadgets and technological highlights and makes you feel like you’re up to the minute with the latest stuff. Priced at around $60,000 it does give you quite a lot for the money and seems to be the best value when compared to other cars of the same price.

Your personal tastes and preferences will ultimately decide on which car you would choose to buy, but any of the ones mentioned would be a dream to own.

Luxury Sea Cruises

by Owen Jones on February 26, 2010

Vacationing on a cruise liner is rightly considered to be elite and luxurious. It is certainly the best kind of vacation that I have ever had. The luxury far surpasses staying in a five star hotel. On the other hand, it is like an elite all inclusive holiday, because once on board, all the entertainment and all your meals are free. Alcoholic drinks must be paid for, but then they are duty free.

If you have never been on a cruise before you really must try it. I would not recommend it as a family vacation, but I have seen families on cruises. Cruising might suit a family with older children or you might find a cruise which is designed with children in mind. However, in my experience, the typical cruiser is over 50 and married.

I know that they do 18-30 cruises and all kinds of themed cruises, but if you just go on a normal cruise, most of your fellow passengers will be older. Many of them are commemorating something too – retirement, Golden Wedding Anniversary, 70th birthday, that sort of thing. These people want a peaceful time and do not really want children running around and jumping in and out of the pool. Dinner can be late and the evening’s entertainment is not child orientated either. If you want to take children, look for a specialty cruise.

A cruise is relaxing and all about pampering. Luxury and pampering and world class food. I put on five pounds on a two week cruise and friends said that was abnormally little! I will tell you about the food on my last cruise.

Breakfast lasted from 7 AM to 10 AM and there was a buffet with food from all around the world: fruit, porridge, toast, bacon and eggs, ham, cornflakes and all the variations, sausages, rice, Chinese food, prawns, fish and more. Elevenses started at 11 AM and had tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits, help yourself.

Lunch was a two hour affair commencing at 1PM consisting of four courses. There was a choice of set plans, but if you wanted to mix and match you could – I think the plans were only to make it easier for the elderly to make up their minds. With 1,200 people to give food to in two sittings, the waiters try to speed selection up in very subtle ways, but never outwardly. High tea was from 4 to 4:30PM: tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits and sandwiches.

Dinner was at 6:30PM and was a five course meal in the same vein as lunch and at midnight there was a barbecue on deck until 2AM. Everything that was presented was first class and there was no constraint at all on how much you could eat.

Entertainment was after dinner and there were two shows to match the two dinner sittings, but you could sit there for both shows if you liked. There was a different show every night varying from solo artistes to bands. There were theater plays and musical shows, it was very majestic. There was also a piano bar playing jazz and a disco every night

I would recommend a cruise to anyone, but it is a good idea to check what sort of cruise you are booking as some are themed and if you do not like the cruise’s theme, you may not get the full enjoyment out of it.

Tours And Travel Canada Style

by Adriana Noton on February 25, 2010

One need only go as far as the Internet in order to find a variety of tours and travel Canada accordingly. One of the most popular ways to travel within Canada is the Canadian railway train system. Stretching from Montreal to Vancouver, this is the best way to see the most of Canada in the shortest amount of time.

Depending on interests located in specific areas within Canada, one might want to search a variety of blogs which offer information on various activities going on while in the area. This is in addition to the many lodging and restaurant reviews one can also find online. In addition, most area auto clubs or travel stores most likely carry brochures and additional information on traveling both inside and outside Canada.

Another way to see Canada and most other areas is by way of air. Many airlines offer air tours in most parts of Canada, even some remote areas of the Canadian Wilderness. Therefore, if one wishes to see Canada by air, one can call and visit the air tours which one finds interesting before making a final decision. Also, many air tours can also be found in Canadian tour books as well as the local phone books relating to the area in which one is visiting at the time.

Renting a car is another option with regards to seeing Canada. Of course, with a rent a car one has more freedom to explore areas where other transportation does not run. To this end, depending on whether or not one desires to get out into nature or not is the deciding factor on whether or not one need rent a car. For in most Canadian cities, it is easy to walk or take public transportation to and from a destination quite easily.

Both the United States and Canada now require passports for those entering and re-entering either country, passports which are checked on both sides of the border. To this end, be sure and allow enough time to process a passport request which can sixty to ninety days. However, if one requires a passport in an emergency situation, one can generally obtain one somewhat sooner. Although, a good explanation may also be required in order to process an emergency request for a passport.

As is always the case, one must first decide their destination before one can begin planning travel. Next one must decide on the date and location which one wishes to visit. Then, one must choose from a number of available methods of travel, air, boat, bus, car or train. To this end, one might want to watch a show on one of the travel related channels or rent a video on the area in which one will be visiting.

Two of the main areas in which tourists like to visit are Vancouver and Montreal. Each of these cities have more in the way of tourism than any others in the Canadian provinces and are therefore generally a bit more pricey with regards to food and Canadian relics in gift shops. Both cities also offer a great deal of entertainment. For example, in Vancouver, boat cruises are available. However, most events related to tourism in Canada are generally only open in late May through early September.

During special events, hotels book up even at the highest price range. Therefore, it is best to visit Canada outside special events such as the upcoming Olympic Games in Vancouver. However, if one is attending a special event of any kind, then it is good to make reservations well in advance of the arrival date to assure availability.

However, if one is only visiting and not attending a special event, then it is best to know the calendar of events and plan trips accordingly. Generally, visitor centers in most areas have a listing of such events available online, so that one can know before they go with regards as to how big of crowds to expect and how long such events last.

While it can be fun exploring Canada, especially with regards to a guided tour, one can also find self-guided tour books at most travel centers. In addition, one can also have a rather exciting vacation by including as many options as one can regarding either guided or self-guided tours while visiting Canada. So, regardless of the mode of travel one takes to get to Canada, an excellent vacation full of fun and entertainment awaits just over the border.

Last but not least, many travel guides are also available online. In addition, many cities now have websites as well. So, search on all areas in Canada one is interested in to find these tours, and travel Canada with the knowledge that one has derived from all the associated travel guidebooks and online information one has read. Also, one is less likely to get ripped off and has a better understanding of where to find the type of food and lodging one desires. This is especially the case during long stays but shorter ones as well. To this end, one can assure one has planned a successful Canadian Vacation with fun, excitement and very little stress.

Tours And Travel Canada Offer A Great Holiday

by Adriana Noton on February 25, 2010

Check out tours and travel Canada if you want to visit a country that has an appeal all of its own. From peaceful lakes and grand mountain ranges to beautiful forests, Canada has everything, and more. It’s little wonder that so many tourists arrive in droves every year. Apart from the outdoor appeal, there are some exciting cities.

Canada is remarkably clean and very safe. Its people are hospitable, friendly and multi-cultural. Canada has twice been voted the best country in the world to live in. The people embrace innovation and progress while still being respectful to the beauty of their land. You certainly won’t be disappointed if you make Canada your next holiday destination.

In this article we will look at four of the main provinces that are the most popular catchment areas for tourists. These are Ontario, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. Starting with Alberta, this is home to the magnificent Rockies, miles of green forests and vast prairies. Its two main cities, Calgary and Edmonton, will match any of North America’s best.

If you are looking for adventure, then British Columbia is the answer. Here you can enjoy activities like cruises, hiking, and camping. Or you can explore the glorious, pristine countryside while taking a long stroll in fresh, clean air. Many people visit British Columbia for its eco-tourism attractions.

To really appreciate the Canadian outdoors, go to British Columbia. There are a number of great tours that will enable you to enjoy hiking, river-rafting and other water sports. Or take a casual stroll and take in the sights while breathing in crisp, clean air. British Columbia is the bench-mark of eco-tourism in Canada.

The third largest city in Canada, Vancouver, is located in British Columbia. This beautiful city lies between the Pacific Ocean and coastal mountains. With a distinct international feel, Vancouver is often the host of many international festivals. Relax on the beach, dine out at gourmet restaurants, or just hang out at a bar.

If you visit Ontario you will get the opportunity to see all four of Canada’s notorious lakes. This is the only Canadian province that borders all four, namely Lake Huron, Lake Erie, Lake Superior and Lake Ontario. The country’s biggest city, Toronto, is the capital of Ontario.

But the biggest attraction in Ontario is the world famous Niagara Falls. One of the best ways to see the falls is to book a trip on a plane and view it from the sky. There are other tours that offer exciting tours along the banks of the Niagara River. Throughout the trip you will stop and see many interesting landmarks.

Another popular tourist destination is the charming province of Quebec. Steeped in French tradition, this province is completely different to any other part of Canada. Rich in European culture and history, Quebec radiates a feeling of continental warmth. This is where you will find Montreal, one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities.

Depending on your personal preference, there are many types of excellent accommodation facilities in Canada. These include modern luxurious hotels, inns, lodges, motels, hostels, cottages, ski resorts, camp sites, or holiday apartments. You will also find many B & B’s dotted around the countryside.

If visiting the Toronto Harbour inspires your adventurous and fun loving side, then Toronto Boat cruises are perfect for you! Tourists and vacationers can find plenty of excitement aboard Fireworks Cruises.

Corporate Boat Cruises Are Gaining Steam

by Adriana Noton on February 25, 2010

One industry that is gaining steam is the provider of corporate boat cruises. These smaller cruise lines and yacht leasing companies are attracting more business through better advertising, deluxe services, and fantastic rates. Encouragingly, more and more corporations are joining in the trend and booking mini-cruises for their employees and clientele.

Corporate boat cruises are plentiful and very easy to find. Use any search engine and there are dozens of them at your fingertips. Don’t forget to type your city and state at the end of the search text. This will narrow the search a bit to include only those in your immediate area.

There are many reasons large corporations would book a cruise ship or yacht. Business meeting held on a ship or yacht are sure to impress any client. Many cruise ships have all the amenities of a hotel including a meeting room, telecommunications, fax and presentation equipment, and food service. These can be rented by the day, week, or leased into the companies fleet of transportation.

Reasons corporations book hotels or cruises vary from company to company. Whether your corporation is networking, making a presentation to clients, conducting training or brainstorming meetings, or enjoying some good old fashioned camaraderie and corporate/workforce bonding, corporate boat cruises have the facilities you need. Based on my research, they have a package for just about every type of corporate function. All of the packages are completely flexible and you can even create a package of your own.

Research your list of possible candidates carefully to get the right size ship for your needs. Many of these companies have more than one ship in their fleet. Some cruise companies offer older, more nostalgic yachts while others feature luxury cruisers up to two hundred feet long. Either way you decide to go, you will surely have an experience your employees or clients will not soon forget.

The cost of a small cruise ship compared to hotel facilities is close. The cruise ship is a few hundred dollars more but many of the extras that you would pay a hotel are included in the cruise package making it the better value. Just like hotels, pricing ranges from cruise company to cruise company. On average, $1.000 to $4.000 is about standard depending on the length of the cruise and the entertainment or dining package included.

Every corporate cruise company has a dedicated sales force that is ready to work with you in planning your company’s cruise. They are extremely knowledgeable with most corporation’s meeting and presentation needs and have the packages that fit almost any occasion. Most modern cruise ships are loaded with exactly the kind of equipment and technology needed for corporate business. Much of the time, the only things a company needs to supply are the bodies.

After reviewing dozens of cruise ship lines that specialize in small and medium corporate boat cruises, I realized that it would be very difficult to pick one and the process would be a long one. It would be a great idea to have most of your information together before you speak to an event manager. Knowing beforehand, exactly what you want and how many people will be involved will save a ton of valuable time and greatly improve the initial options offered.

If visiting the Toronto Harbour inspires your adventurous and fun loving side, then Toronto cruises are perfect for you! Tourists and vacationers can find plenty of excitement aboard Halloween cruises.

Fairly Priced High End Vehicles

by Steven Lambas on February 19, 2010

Some very lucky people on this earth are able to go out and purchase their dream car after having dreamed about it for a little while, for the rest of us however, those dreams will likely never become a reality but there is no harm in dreaming.

Whatever the case may be in your situation, I’d like to take a few moments to recognize some great luxury vehicles that might be fun to either dream about or own. Let’s take a look at some of the hottest cars in today’s high end market.

For a relatively small $70,000 you can buy yourself The Nissan GT-R. When you compare this car with others, you will soon realize that it is well worth the money being spent. It’s a pretty good bargain to the well off.

I love the Audi RS4, with 420 horsepower, its no ordinary four door car because it looks and drives just like a sports car due to its V8 engine.

So the Audi RS4 has been sent to us from the future. It has so many gadgets and technological highlights and makes you feel like you’re up to the minute with the latest stuff. Priced at around $60,000 it does give you quite a lot for the money and seems to be the best value when compared to other cars of the same price.

While the one that you choose should depend on your personal tastes, it’s safe to say that all of these are finely crafted automobiles that you’re sure to enjoy.
