I booked a room at a Holiday Inn and when I had a change of plans and tried to cancel a month and a half out they wouldn't refund my money claiming that I recieved a special internet rate! I called the hotel twice and the receptionist transferred me to accounting where I got a voicemail both times and no return call.
I was in a hurry and probably missed the fine print. Still, not refunding a customers money is just bad business! I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and told my credit card company not to pay the charges but I'm still worried I'll get a bill for 500 bucks if I don't show.
Does anyone have a similar story? What was the end result? Please advise!!
