Develops gradually and undoubtedly to horrifying (although not gory) for kids. Cast includes Dee Wallace, Daniel Hugh-Kelly, Christopher Rock, and Factories Watson. (91 minutes,’83)

Trackdown: Montana rancher (Jim Mitchum) comes to L.A. looking for his sister, who has fallen into a seamy life in the streets. Not much depth however lots of action. Cast includes Jim Mitchum, Karen Larnm, Anne Archer, Erik Estrada, Cathy Lee Crosby, and Vince Cannon. (98 minutes,’76)

Mystery Alaska: Remote Alaskan town’s hockey team is given the possibility to play the N.Y. Rangers as a publicity stunt. There is a hodgepodge cast of characters and an unavoidable big game finale. Crowe is the only one to ascend above the material. Cast includes Russell Crowe, Burt Reynolds, Hank Azaria, Mary McCormack, Lolita Davidovich, Mike Myers, and Little Richard. (118 minutes,’99)

Fantastic Four: Four people manning a scientific space experiment studying a cosmic storm are overwhelmed by the event, and exposed to cosmic radiation. The DNA is altered in their bodies, unleashing superhuman powers in all four. The fantastic four are born.

La Provinciale: Exceptional venture fantasy in reference to an orphan gal who is chased by sky pirates and a malevolent government representative who wants to get their hands on the supernatural quartz that permits her to float and also keeps the secret to finding a treasure, a full island in the clouds. Stunning visuals, exhilarating set pieces and gripping characters make this a masterpiece of action film making; energized or otherwise, empowering a real sense of amazement. Cast includes Anna Paquin, Cloris Leachman, Mark Hamill, Mandy Patinkin, and Andy Dick. (124 minutes,’86)

Pulp Fiction: This is Quentin Tarantino’s masterpiece work. The story weaves around four separate, yet intertwined events. There was an accidental killing, the crime bosses wife’s overdose, the boxer who didn’t throw the fight, and pair of small time crooks trying to rob a restaurant.

The Nutcracker Prince: Physician Down treats an obvious madman, who then goes through a hallucinatory rerun of his current experiences: he’s a French anthropologist who’s materialized in L.A. and has been drawn to a band of bizarre street people. Cast includes Megan Follows, Peter Brosnan, Adam Ant, Anna-Maria Monticelli, Hector Mercado, and Mary Woronov. (75 minutes,’90)
